Last Day of School Pictures

This is Brit at the fun run in the middle with the blue t-shirt. This isn't a great picture of the 3rd grade lining up at the start line. I was trying to take a picture and had my video camera ready to go in my other hand to tape the race. Brit always has exciting races. He never leads the pack but catches up and passes at least a dozen kids. He won just barely. Last year he was on the back row at the starting line and two kids in front of him tripped right in front of Brit causing him to stumble and he still ended up winning the race. I don't know how he does it.

The girls were home this weekend. I, Morgan and Lindsey ran the Harrington Memorial 5k today. Lindsey won for the women, Morgan was second for the women and I was twelveth. It rained the whole time. The race ended by the American Fork Fire Station where Lindsey's husband was helping with the Fireman's breakfast. We bought tickets and had a good breakfast after the race. My mom took a few pictures.

Kelly & Brit

I don't have pictures of this weekend but Kelly and Brit went on the overnight father and son campout at Heber Valley Camp on Friday. They had a good time but it was cold with several inches of snow on the ground. They came home Saturday and left to go up and work on the cabin. They are coming home today (Memorial Day) for a family barbeque.

Morgan took 3rd place for the women. Two girls beat her out and one of them was a BYU All-American runner.

Brit competes in PG Recreation Track

Brit is getting ready to run the 400 meter race for his first time. He is in lane 2. This was a city meet against Wasatch, Orem, Spanish Fork and Pleasant Grove. Brit won his heat in the 400 meter and 100 meter races.

Morgan is on the very left of this picture. This is just before game time. We were ranked second place going in losing only one game this season.

The score was tied 1 to 1 and with less than two minutes left in the game Morgan scored the winning goal. I can't tell you how much excitement there was. What a way to end the season!

Morgan ran the mile with 7th graders and won with a time of 5:47. It wasn't her best time but with the cold/heavy wind factor she knew she would be running for place not time.

Brit warming up. He is next to bat. Again it is freezing cold. Brit couldn't even hold the baseball to pitch when his coach asked if he wanted to by the end of the night his hands were so cold. Temperature was 34 degrees with the wind chill even colder.
