Regionals at Alta
Track regionals were yesterday and today. It was so cold and windy you would have thought it was January. I wore a coat, gloves and wrapped up in a blanket. Morgan qualified for the 400 meter finals.
Morgan coming down the stretch in the last 50 meters of the 400. She won and is the 400 meter region champion.
Morgan qualified in the 200 meter finals with only having run the 200 meter once before this meet. She took second in the finals with the Brighton senior winning who last weekend broke the 100 meter state record. The funny thing about the 200 meter race is that all the sprinters use blocks except Morgan where she has only run this race once before she didn't feel comfortable using them. Her 200 meter time ranks her 5th in the state.

Kids Sports
Morgan is busy with track but has had a very hard season. In January she ran the mile and was in the top three in the state. In February/March her times were dropping and she couldn't run a mile because her legs were too tired. We went to the doctor and found out she had mono. She is very tired and we hope that she will get better quickly. She can however make it around the track once for a 400 meter so that is what she is racing. She is qualified for state in the 400meter and 4x400 meter race. I think they might try her at region in the 200meter and see what she can do. Below is the BYU invitational race where she is on the podium taking third place. We hope at state she can possibly win.
